Eleven Yr 10 students participated in a 5 day Early Entry Pathways course at the NewSAFE Training Centre, which is part of UGM Mining at Terabla. The students gained a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety, experienced working & actually operating mining equipment & machinery in a simulated underground mine, experienced working in an operational engineering & diesel overhaul workshop and they participated in 'mock' job interviews. The students who participated gained an excellent understanding of working life with an emphasis on safety & risk management. We must thank UGM for this excellent opportunity. We will be organising more courses with UGM in 2014. See the photos below.
