Information Communication Technologies

Our library has desktop computers for student use. Students can access both the school network and the DET Student Portal. We also have a wireless network to support student laptops provided by the Federal government's Digital Education Revolution program.  Students can access a range of software programs including Microsoft Office and Photoshop.

Student Email & Internet

The NSW Department of Education provides all public school students and staff with a DET email account made available through the student portal. Other email services are blocked for security reasons. DET email accounts are designed for school-based work and communication. Students can access these email accounts at school as well as anywhere outside of school where they have access to the Internet.  Students can access their DET email account and other DET IT services through their student portal. All students are issued with a portal username and password. Students can use search terms like 'My Portal NSW' in a search engine like Google when trying to access their portal outside of school.  Students can use their school email account for educational purposes like sending work between home and school and communicating with their class teachers. Students involved in group projects can share resources and work collaboratively. Students are expected to use these facilities according to DET and school policy.
